Poor management prevents certain individuals with a particular background from succeeding by moving the goal post or withholding information about open roles. If you aren’t hitting quota, you’ll be edged out no matter your efforts and no matter how much help you asked for. Your job will be threatened and thus creating a toxic work environment. Manager is charming and seemingly personable, but that is a facade to cover up their inadequate performance and inability to execute pertinent tasks required of their role. I find that the manager uses a lot of impressionistic language to appear that they are doing their job when in reality they make the team do all their work and then presents them as if it’s their own. Somethings got to change. Everyone on the team has similar experiences but nothing is being done. Manager calls themself a cheerleader and that’s exactly what they are, a cheerleader who praises from sidelines sometimes but doesn’t actually play the game.
