Current Employee4.6Jan 23, 2024Excellent place to grow. Management has structures in place to encourage gradual promotions
Current Employee4.1Aug 15, 2024Not a terrible job. A lot of company changes going on. Went from fully remote to hybrid and it seems like theres going to be a mandatory return to office soon. Quota went up like cazy (nearly tripled). Lead flow has been on the decline.

Current Employee3.1Oct 23, 2024Being owned by Vista is never good for the employees or customers. Avalara is a neutral place to work but will continue to gradually get worse as private equity looks for more ways to increase profitability by increasing customer prices while looking for ways to suppress employee wages (e.g. no raises and making comp plan worse).

Former Employee4.4Aug 26, 2024My time at Avalara was great! It's a good company. Only issue is that it's very difficult / unpredictable to move out of the ADR role. I know people who have been in ADR seats for 3+ years performing well with no promotion in sight. Besides that, great company!
