Back to ReviewsFormer Employee It is disheartening to me what has happened to the company culture and leadership of Zendesk since the acquisition by private equity in November 2023. What worked during Covid is not sustainable, and leadership is struggling to continue the "grow at all costs" trajectory. To counter act the sudden lack of revenue from inbound leads, they have had multiple price increases, adding implementation as an almost mandatory add-on, and multiple rounds of layoffs within the last 6 months. All of those factors plus the constant revolving door of great talent leaving has completely drained morale among the entire workforce.
Additionally — Zendesk was once the market leader in the industry, but multiple competitors have diluted the space and can provide essentially the same product for less cost with far better customer service.
