Current Employee This job used to be an incredible intro to an SMB sales role. The ability to make life changing money in the comp plan was removed starting in 2022 with a revamped comp plan that was recently changed again to attempt to salvage what was possible but doesn't come close. The culture may be good in others regions but in ours it's been destroyed by a Sr Director who was the worst hire of the entire region's historical existence and is responsible for great reps and managers jumping ship.
On top of all that Spectrum seems to be convinced that their SMB work force is little more than adolescent door to door reps who can't be trusted with real freedom and are continuing to implement more micro management requirements to dictate how you do your job. After removing the key motivating factor, a life changing comp plan and implementing more micro control it'll be a wonder anyone who is competent or wants to make great money will even be around. They are also strictly enforcing a PIP plan if you miss quota on one metric without any regard to why that happened. No quota relief for vacation. Run away.
