Back to ReviewsFormer Employee To aspiring sales professionals wanting to start tech sales careers at Snowflake, I would recommend avoiding like the plague. They treat SDRs like disposable garbage.
The "new" SDR Director based in San Mateo is ruthless, heartless & calculated. She just “laid off” all the Bellevue SDRs/managers because she wanted to be closer to everyone to manage (no severance). All tenured SDR management have been fired/quit after hiring that SDR Director.
Promotions are nonexistent from SDR to inside seller/AE roles despite what leadership says. VP of CAE based in Bellevue dislikes SDRs & pushed CAE management to recruit externally rather than internally promote, which has permanently stalled SDR promos. SDRs stay for +2 years hoping they will get promoted only to learn last minute the CAE VP won’t interview SDRs.
Politics in the SDR org are very important if you want to keep your job & the San Mateo Director will fire you on a dime if you get slightly out of line/ask too many questions. There are so many competitors that pay 2x Snow’s salary, don’t treat SDRs like disposable garbage, & provide opportunities to grow their careers. Do your career a favor & don’t waste time at Snowflake.
