Back to ReviewsFormer Employee At first, my experience at Motive was very positive. The team and Manager I worked with were easily some of the best sellers and leadership that I'd ever had. The product was very competitive and often it sold itself on calls. Over time, however, leadership from the top down seemed to lose direction and sales reps became a casualty of this mismanagement. Compensation was constantly changing. Our entire segment structure was changed with about 2 weeks notice and the company started rewarding/punishing people based on activity rather than performance. It was clear they had over-hired in the previous cycle and were grasping at straws to figure out how to chop heads. They lost a lot of good talent as a result and left a bad taste in people's mouths. It's not the worst company but you'll often find yourself feeling more like a glorified SDR rather than a bonified closer. Hope you find legitimate pleasure in making cold calls as 90% of your workload. Browse Other Reviews
