Across teams and functions, there are many nice people genuinely offering to help you whenever, which can offset the at times intense pressures on those in sales roles. Company is trying to evolve beyond the classic tech industry "crunch" or "work hard play hard" norms of its startup era, toward work-life balance, with mixed results.
BDR is 3 different roles each building on the one before it, and have different job titles and OTE (your work team and manager stay the same). In recent years, HS has been raising the thresholds to level up and promote to AE, so getting from BDR to smallbiz AE can take 2+ years now versus 8-12 months in 2020.
No shortage of company holidays, including MLK Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day. We also get the first week of July off ("The Week of Rest") each year.
The "unlimited PTO for all" policy is more attainable in reality for those in nonsales roles.
They provide both an ESPP and RSUs, not one or the other.
