Obviously have brand recognition — that’s about it. Awful leadership. Micromanaging is off the charts. Leadership loves to add meaningless busy work to reps that don’t drive deals at all. Truly a toxic environment that does not lead to a career. Majority of middle management are ex-AEs who have no clue how to manage and are puppets for senior leadership.

Pretty steep learning curve with no quota ramp after 2-3 week of onboarding. Great learning & development opportunities with high rates of internal hiring and chances of a promotion. The sales team is increasingly becoming younger which can be off-putting to some. Assume there are no inbound leads other than the odd MQL.

Good company, decent product, a lot of smart people. Problem is it’s impossible to quantify, stars must align for big deals to go through and the compensation for closing deals is severely lacking. You will spend more time servicing existing accounts/license holders than selling to new ones. Gartner also is a big micro management shop.
