Being a sales rep at Pearson is great, and very unique. You travel around your local territory, and you sell to Professors primarily in-person as part of a "B2E" sale. The safest position to be in at this company is a senior executive. You're immune. Despite not making a single correct choice, almost ever, there's almost no turnover.

My overall experience was sad. Worst leadership as its a hostile environment. Manager had no experience or training and would not have your back. Silver tongued VP Sales is berating and loves to shame people in public. No real GTM strategy for Workforce product and poorly managed resulting in a few executives leaving. Stay away.

You're convincing families to enroll in an online K12 public school. The product is free; the students have good outcomes; sometimes they get a laptop. There's absolutely no cold calling and all leads are warm. That's why the base pay is low and the culture is great/low-pressure. The company seems to be in constant transition, but with new incoming leadership there is a great opportunity for PE to become the leader in the higher education space. Great quality people and products, but would benefit from a clearer sales team structure and a stronger customer success presence.
