Overall experience spans 8+ years with what I consider a gradual decline or diminishment of culture and community-forward values as company growth and drive to acquisitions often resulted more in outside promotions into upper leadership roles instead of promoting from within. The recent acquisition by Broadcom is a complete upset to that, but isn't necessarily bad - as the legacy leadership/seniority group was becoming overly cliquish and could probably benefit from some level of reset.

Bad, I joined when Broadcom just made a bid on VMWare. For more than 12 months we were in limbo land, ther was a hiring freeze and a lot of vmware left the company and were not being replaced.
