No one is making a lot of money here, but people stay because it's a pretty low stress gig. That's all about to change. Expect some serious layoffs and PIPs/Firings after Q2. No one is selling anything right now.

A couple years ago the XDR org was better than it is right now. There are almost no roles to move up to, with the sales org giving preference to outside applicants. There is also a lot of red tape to even be considered for promotion. Being a top BDR does not guarantee anything and the role, KPIs and OTE is calculated based on inbound leads but the leads are very few...Read More

Overall, Smartsheet is a great place to grow as a seller. It can feel like a tough sell in today's tech world, but this experience is not unique at Smartsheet.

My overall experience was positive for the most part. Some managers are better than others. Internal processes are not efficient, and for a company that sells efficiency that was very time consuming.
