The culture is pretty good. But the sale cycle is monthly and is a hamster wheel mentality. There is a lot of post sales work with operation to make sure the deal is able to start. The product (hr services) is great but over priced for the market we work in. The base salary is laughable and there are consistent comp changes. Great first sales job though, not for experienced reps.

leadership changes all the time, base is not reflective of the work we do, commissions forget to pay, you can make a lot of money but its a grind.

The sales process for additional services at Paychex is coached to be deceptive. Quotas are set based on the top 5% of reps, who receive additional leads, territory, and preferential treatment.
