Palantir
Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Every enterprise AE enters onboarding full of passion and excitement about the opportunity to sell such a phenomenal solution. Within a week EVERY AE is miserable, fearful of losing their job, completely dumbfounded about the sales policies enabled by the Sales Leaders who have 0.0 years of sales experience, and utterly crushed by the realization that their dream job was a mirage, and now they’re working in the the ABSOLUTE WORST SALES CULTURE in America.
For 17 of the last 20 years the Palantir employee handbook said “We will never have salespeople”. If PLTR was a family, sales is the dog chained outside 247.
They put more resources & time into taking accounts away from AE’s (must have meetings w/ forward movement every 30 days) than helping them actually sell the software.
Just compare the macro elements of the company (% of total employees in sales, avg sales tenure, marketing size/spend, etc) to competitors like Snowflake.
You’ll see a direct correlation between solid fundamentals, positive sales culture & ability to scale.
It’s a shame! Palantir has a true moat and could be the standard OS for the enterprise. We’ll lose the moat before (if) they fix the sales culture Browse Other Reviews
