Was way better in the past, now compensation goes down, unrealistic expectations kick in and everything has to be about AI - whether it makes sense or not. Headless chicken...

The compensation structure for sales engineers was borderline corrupt. The managers got to decide how much "sales bonus" an individual should get as sales engineering was comp'd on the country number and not on the sales number of their respective account managers. This led to a lot of favoritism. Also, there were hardly any annual increments.
