HubSpot is an amazing product to sell - however, the sales organization (SMB in particular) is a mess. Too many reps + high quotas means most reps last about a year before either leaving or getting fired. Most of the day was spent prospecting for decent accounts.woth little to no luck. To succeed here, you have to cut corners and act unethically. This is worth emphasizing - last year, a handful of high performing reps were caught stealing inbound, ready to buy leads. Leadership's response was essentially "forget about it". As long as the stock price is moving upward, the ELT does not care one iota about the reps experience. Because people are quitting / getting fired so fast, HubSpot needs to continuously fill these roles. Until they understand WHY people are leaving, they'll never figure put how to turn things around. Again, it's an amazing platform to sell, and there's a lot of stuff to learn, but if you're looking for stability and a place to develop within a company, I'd look elsewhere. Also, HubSpot's clawback policy is absolutely bonkers and it's 100% in place to hurt sales reps. It's been awful for culture.
