Current Employee The GTM org is completely divided, marketing is worried solely on organic growth in OSS and sales has to use a playbook written by the marketing team, which doesn't work. Our biggest competitor is OSS due to little differentiation. Reps who do well don't go by the playbook and focus on competitive takeouts.
A ton of focus has been put on kpi/performance tracking which has increased tedious/manual work to log everything and micromanagement from sales managers.
OTE looks very competitive from the outside but quota is almost impossible to attain. Less than 30% of reps hit their number last year, those who did were due to a large deal that got them over their number. What keeps most reps going is the possibility of hitting a home run deal that can possibly get them to their number or change their life
The only constant has been a high turn over rate with reps and middle management. Definitely do your research before accepting any sales roles. All other departments love working at Grafana.
