Former Employee Let’s talk about the good stuff first:
Google’s culture and benefits are unreal. 24/7 gyms, gaming rooms, 10+ restaurants—you name it, they’ve got it.
The pay? Top-notch. Plus, it’s a networking goldmine. I made amazing friends and connections that will last a lifetime.
Now, the downside: leadership in the German team. Out of a sea of managers, maybe 2-3 were actually good. The rest? A mess. At the director level, it felt like high school—if you weren’t in their clique, your time was limited.
Not exactly the kind of leadership you’d expect from a company like Google.
Still, it’s a phenomenal place to work—just cross your fingers for better managers.
