GitHub has taken a step back from 2-3 years ago. The culture has changed into more of a classic sales org (managers tracking calls, emails, etc), quota attainment is trending downward especially within mid-market and SMB. My overall experience is great as a SE. Team works together really well to make sure everyone is up to speed and feels supported. Recently reps have struggled to make quota but overall comp for SEs has been close to OTE.
