Gartner's Client Success organisation is a non-commissioned role. There is a bonus achievable of up to 10% of annual base pay, depending performance. Performance is 75% rated on renewal sales (for which you are not involved in the sales cycle), and 25% on qualitative/behavioural factors.

Success is dependent on where you are placed and you don’t get a preference. Practice (supply chain vs. tech), support of your manager/BD/AE, and territory can widely differ peoples experiences.
