Former Employee As a former account executive in Americas Large Enterprise in GTS: Compensation at Gartner is not bad but earnings at software/tech companies is much better. Much less pressure at Gartner, though. Lots of flexibility to run my own business without micromanagement. Relative to tech companies selling multi-million dollar deals, Gartner deals are much smaller (and quotas much smaller). Intellectually stimulating to be so close to new research. Fun to work with senior execs and their teams. Retention of product is historically 86%+. Growth through account expansion is the key strategy. ESPP has a 5% discount only, but stock has performed consistently well. Browse Other Reviews
