Dell was lower on compensation at the time compared to other technology companies but the ESPP program made up for the difference. The culture shifted in the late 90’s to 2000’s as a result of growth, moral suffered and the grass was no longer green.

They use AI tools to predict the future and set quota but still do this as you overachieve from hard work. Lowering headcount over and over via layoffs is a no fun culture. Former Employee3.6Aug 23, 2023Overall, good company to work for, like most places things are changing rapidly but there has always been upward mobility and people are uncommonly open to network and mentor. Great experience overall.
