Back to ReviewsFormer Employee In my experience, I think Datadog is a great place to start as an Account Executive and develop the skills needed to have a successful career. At Datadog, I was able to take my SDR experience and grow into a AE by getting a lot of at bats. The compensation is really good if you are hitting your quota but can be low if you are struggling. Datadog also helps its reps hit their goals by adding incentives when the economic climate is tough.
The Negatives are that you are a glorified SDR. Outbound is your main focus at all times. Also the accounts are very saturated. In my time I only had 2-5 fresh accounts. Also, you are limited to 100 accounts per rep and most of them are average at best. This can leave you scrambling to find new ways in and limits the amount you can close based on their timelines.
Overall I recommend any SDR or new AE to take a chance on Datadog because you can make a lot of money and gain great experience. Browse Other Reviews
