Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Overall Databricks is a great company and has a great products that work which customers are quick to adopt. There is a strong Executive team in the US who communicate very well globally and regularly take feedback.
AE's and Managers have to work with poor tooling and manual processes internally that are constantly changing, overly complex, and add stress in an already stressful environment. Enablement and change management on these tools and processes is minimal, and it seems that the people designing the processes have no experience in the field and seem disconnected from how sales people actually work.
Quotas are aggressive as the company seeks to grow 100% each year, resulting in people with more established accounts carrying the burden of growth, which reduces earnings potential and the opportunity to overachieve.
The compensation plan is overly complex and difficult to understand how you are paid on deals and customer consumption, and stock awards are almost negligible.
Overall I would recommend Databricks if you are a standard performer and want to achieve OTE. If you're a top performer earning more than £500k per year, then I would suggest you understand with granularity what your potential is.
