I DO NOT recommend selling at Databricks. The overall culture is excellent, driven by top upper management and excellent products. However, it is a technology company run by technologist all of whom have little regard for salespeople. The comp plan is a moving target and reps are consistently behind on their quota - most won’t make their nut. They stay because of the pending IPO - and associated grants - and we all believe the technology will win the day resulting in that payout. The later won’t happen. If you are offered a job here, don’t walk away - run.

Great company. Amazing product market fit and a ton of demand from clients & prospects to learn about Data & AI. Plus employees get to learn so much about AI and trends in this space (increasing their value to the market). Only downside is that the change in culture that comes with being a company trying to grow and go public. New leaders. More micromanaging. HUGE...Read More
