Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee The SDR role at Cvent is very dependent on where you are placed. As an outbound SDR on the Mid-Market team i am expected to source opportunities solely from cold leads and prospecting. It’s a lot of work and you are paid the same ( probably making less) than someone on the Inbound Sales Team that only handles hand raiser leads. With all that said I do feel the training I have received at Cvent has been valuable and being an entirely outbound rep has made me a better salesperson. SDR leadership is mid, but the leadership for the AE’s and higher up is excellent. Promotion to a new role is difficult here, they want to keep you as an SDR as long as they possibly can (you are looking at over 2 years unless you are absolutely crushing quota). It is a good company to work for, i love my co workers and the company feels stable. The CEO is great & i have great PTO. It’s not a bad place to land as an SDR and there is potential to move up to a closing sales role, but you do have to be pretty good. Browse Other Reviews
