Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Sales is generally disorganized and lackluster at Cloudflare. Around 50% of people were on plans (and that was after recent lay-offs). Generally, the morale was extremely low.
Culture - The CEO Matthew Price dislikes sales professionals, has called sales people "order takers", and blasted the sales team on earnings calls. This reverberates throughout the culture as other teams will not respect you.
The actual tools/structure to the AE org is terrible. There's a partner sales team, but they don't follow territories but regional pools instead (so no clean account mapping). They switched to Salesloft and locked down sequences for a 2 quarters and downsized their BDR org. This really hurt pipeline. Account data is inaccurate and the average turn around time for ops can be weeks from ops or just ignored.
On a positive note - Cloudflare has a great brand and world-class engineering. However, from a sales perspective it's pretty bad unless you're in Enterprise or an AM. I would stay far away from any COM role here.
