Great relaxed culture, not a a lot of pressure even when most miss quota. Pays low for the local market. Good leaders but unwilling to have tricky conversations with transparency, won't admit if something's unfair on an individual

Lucid was a really good place to be a sales rep and then it struggled for a while, not different than virtually all tech companies. They have made a lot of necessary changes to make it good again. Horrible experience. Lucid has really gone downhill in the almost 3 years I have worked here. Leadership now not only doesn't care about revenue, but you're almost solely judged on the amount of meetings you have. Not hitting quota but hitting meetings? You will get a shoutout. Generally a good place to work with good people who care. People are nice and leadership wants to succeed and treat reps well. I wish the company was growing and getting to new markets. Lucid like other companies has seen a significant slowdown in demand for customer growth to buy more seats. Because of a limited product line, there's not much else to sell. New products are coming, but the environment is "wait and see" for now. Great people, leadership needs to 10x transparency.

Pretty good product. Not Canva but engineers seem to like it. Selling mostly to procurement slinging licenses. Was awesome during Covid war but not so much now.

Lucid struggles in a few areas as there are very VERY few hitting goal. Quota seems unattainable at the moment even after Lucid gave a 15% quota reduction.

Under market base/OTE salaries in EMEA, progression potential overall relatively poor salary wise too. Though, great product and fun team to work with. Transparent leadership and enough incentives. Perfect for more Junior AE/AM positions to progress career, not so much to become a Senior if you have 5+ experience. AOV in Enterprise far under market rate too.

Two years ago, Lucid was the place to work. People were successful because most companies were wanting to buy and 95% of big deals were purely discounts for companies willing to buy ahead. This place is solid. Most managers don't micro-manage. The comp is pretty competitive, and we have good leadership. I think the biggest gap is in Product. We made big moves in the past in product, but now it feels like our product enhancements are minimal/only geared towards AI.

Lucid has good work/life balance and colleagues are fantastic. That said, selling the product is becoming more challenging - the industry is more commoditized and most are struggling to initiate interesting conversations. Sr Leadership/C-Suite are good people but lack vision and execution.

Despite initial success, Lucid lacks a clear vision for go to market, relying heavily on a product that “sells itself” without fostering innovation. Lots of favoritism and micromanagement. 5% of sales reps hit and layoffs are coming again.

Sales is struggling, less than 5% of reps hit quota across the sales org the last couple of years. The people and products are still great. Unfortunately, no upward mobility or opportunity for progression inside or outside the role.

Can't say how it is to work in the HQ, but as an employee in one of their EMEA office, the only people I would suggest moving to Lucid would be SDRs/BDRs looking to get into an SMB AE role. Below average comp structure. In 2024 reps struggled to hit quota, but management tried to make that better via various incentives. 2 major competitors in market, company needs to be more aggressive in displacing competitors.
