Can't speak as much on Cap Table side. But for Fund Admin (VC/PE business)-stay away. End market is not interested, product is not a need, deals are not being closed, layoffs happen multiple times per year. The "Private Market ERP Vision" is a last ditch attempt to save a failing business.

The Carta SMB team is an inbound referral engine. Fast deal cycles, although some prospects need much more hand-holding than others as they're typically first time founders. Currently more reps miss than hit, as there's nowhere left to prospect (closed 60%+ of the market, we only sell to net-new, no limit on book size).

Very good team culture, everyone is supportive and collaborates well to get things done. Team is fun to work with, and they're serious when it's time to get things done. Leadership is very messy, they take a pretty hands off approach which means you can be very creative in how you work, but this can backfire sometimes and be pretty stressful on reps.
