How challenging is it to progress from SDR to Account Executive (AE) at Workato, and what are the key factors considered for promotion within the sales department?

Have not seen a lot of people do this successfully at Workato. There is a lot of talk put no real career advancement path program put it place based on clearly defined and proven measures that correlate to success here.

Pretty challenging. Goals are always changing so the goal post is pushed further and further. Key factors are: high activity and quality AE/SDR relationships.

Extremely challenging. If you're considering working here, don't do it. General industry trend - but the way SDR managers and AE managers hire is completely different. So even if you're a good, quota-hitting SDR, AE managers might not want you and then you're completely stuck for 2+ years, unless you join another part of the org, which is again extremely extremely hard if you don't have any previous experience in other roles you're interested in. On top of that, the managers and SDR director is completely inane and have no idea how to facilitate promotions to other parts of the org. They would rather put people on PIP or wait for you to leave ultimately than try to help you, advocate for you and reallocate talent. The SDR leadership is completely inconsiderate to real, genuine feedback. Don't do it. Run.
