Zoom is positioned itself as a telecommunications company. However, the company and leadership have not figured out how to operate in this space leading to many prospects still thinking of us as virtual meetings company, scarce marketing or channel assistance, and quotas that do not reflect longer and more complex deal cycles. Company OTE is lower than market so it necessitates that representatives hit accelerators which feels like swimming upstream at this point.

In 5 years at the company, it changed a ton due to an anomaly of hypergrowth. Hyper-collaborative, supportive, and strong leadership in office prior to 2020, with the same culture moving forward remotely into 2021. As expected, board members and leadership added pressure when things settle down. The product and resources are still best in class. Comp is average.
