Quota is unrealistic and system is built with extreme bias. Your first week other BDR’s will tell you to “play the game.” This is code for putting in fake calls and meetings in order to hit the unrealistic quota of 22 enterprise grade meetings a month in very small overworked territories.
You’re expected to get 10+ qualified opportunities a month. Given this is not a realistic metric to hit in most of the territories assigned, you have to go to your AE’s for help. The AE’s and RVP’s will decide whether they want to help you and feed you opportunities based on what they consider “culture fit.” Your ability to gel with the culture and fraternity-like environment will determine your success within the organization.
This essentially makes the path to promotion impossible for anyone that is not part of the boys club. The promo strategy is not in any way related to your natural sales abilities. I would recommend other companies like Oracle, Workday, Google, etc. that likely have a better promotion system to AE. Browse Other Reviews
