As soon as you realize your base compensation does not reflect one of the company value (equality) even in the same internal career level and chatting with someone who works in the same team, same years of experiences, it hits you so strong that you start to understand some internal movements like promotions and assignment priorities. Sad to say this, as in other hand the product and market are amazing.
