Is Concur still run like a separate company or just a business unit of SAP?

Yes. But coming closer  together with SAP over next few years.

as of Jan 2021 - it's still a fairly separate org. It's been a great merger in my opinion. Lots of investment from SAP, but not a ton of policy changes.

The one thing that will be interesting to see will be if Concur Reps can begin selling SAP products.

Is it still run as a stand alone company on separate paper, they also have different CRM system using salesforce and I’ve heard they extended their licence so can’t see Concur moving over to harmony (SAP internal CRM) anytime soon. They are trying to work more closely with SAP.

As of June 2022, Concur is running more like a business unit of SAP,  which is not a good thing in my opinion. Too many processes, and policies that stall productivity and flexibility.

It has been a slow merger and migration to SAP systems, policies and org structure since the acquisition was finalized. First was a major financial/back-end system migration & integration. From a rev org perspective, the Enterprise org was the first to blend in with SAP from a cross/co-sell perspective. The Concur SMB org is the last link in the chain and has been a slower merging process, but over the past couple of years there have been major org shifts and leadership changes/restructures to more closely align with SAP.
