It’s more about time & place with respect to product-market fit than it is about actually having an amazing product. Unfortunately PandaDoc has Soviet-style leadership that believes more in themselves being right than the reality of what PandaDoc the product can actually do. The company strategy flows down from a simple SEO strategy of whatever brings the most eyeballs to the website is best. This caused PandaDoc to saturate its messaging online in ways that make it impossible for its sales team to meet expectations set by outlandish claims (“better than DocuSign!” or “CPQ” or “CLM” adverts even though PandaDoc does not compete in those categories). The company had a window to be the Apple to Docusign’s Microsoft, but that window is closed as they play pretend sales with incubation teams (at the direct expense of SQLs that would have been worked by performance reps) and neglect to focus on the needs of the mid-market & Enterprise customers (ensuring SOC2 is up to date, SLA is up to 99.99%, GDPR compliance, etc). The company is just a wasted oppty and playground for a bored CEO. Browse Other Reviews
