How is the "commercial" team doing? 500-1000 agents? Are reps hitting quotas or getting close?

The sales cycle is 12-24 months. Even in SMB. The managers are great. I worked in the SDR group so not sure about the commercial side. But the senior vp of sales is BRUTAL. One of the WORST I've ever worked for, I'm not joking. The last 2 years he got the lowest rating of all of the managers. He told his direct reports that it's because they are too nice and lenient with their direct reports.

NICE has acquired 23 companies in the last 20 years and it's a shitshow in how they incorporate the new companies and employees. NICE does have multiple incredible products, really the best in the market. But it is adding so much weekly that the AEs have a hard time keeping up. I spoke to many that had been in presidents club multiple times and they even complained that everything was trained so technical that half the time they didn't fulling understand what they are selling. They do have great sales engineers. But it's a lot to keep up with all of the time.

Are reps hitting quota? Yes. Are many reps hitting quota? No. Last year, I believe it was single digit % of reps that hit quota in the 'Commercial' space. We just had an atrocious Q1 performance highlighted by just a few big deals that finally came through after being worked for 12-24 months. It's a grind. Those that hit consistently have either hit a lucky streak (they'll admit it) or been in the same patch long enough to have enough relationships within their accounts that the pipeline is consistently healthy.

As mentioned by someone else on this thread, NICE has the best (individual) solutions in the market, but growing through acquisition has caused a disjointed product experience, disconnected sales organization, and unclear messaging from enablement and product marketing.
