Great experience at IBM. Met some of the smartest people that I have ever worked with. Tough decision to leave but left on great terms. Still keep in touch with many of my former colleagues. Great respect for this organization.

I was many years at IBM and my overall experience was lousy and often times toxic. Among 4 or so different roles over 12 years in sales, internal politics took precedent over customer sat almost every time. Lack of accountability for low performers. Poor OTE layout. Complete lack of transparency regarding OTE. Inflated quotas. Salary draw. If you want to go somewhere to coast and let other people sell for you but have no control of your own pipeline this is the place.

My overall experience was good? Seems to me like our base pay was pretty competitive, but it was very difficult for our group at IBM to be successful. MVS is at the bottom of the priority list.
