How would you describe the interview process for the role you applied for, and what should others expect, pros and cons, etc?

(Fair warning, this was pre-COVID in 2017-2018):

The process consisted of the following steps:

1. Met recruiters at university hiring event who referred me to sales recruiter (they were hiring for IT).

2. Visiting sales recruiter organized 1st round interview. Heavily focused on my resume and background. I was told I would hear next steps.

3. Virtual interview where I answered behavioral based questions to prompts and submitted.

4. Invited to group on-site interview. Consisted of 3 interviews with managers assigned at random with a team project to be presesnt to 50-100 manager panel. Advised I would be called in 2 weeks with decision.

5. Received offer about 2 weeks later.

In 2022, recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, roleplay interview with the hiring manager, interview with skip line. From intial contact to offer was less than 30 days and I started as a Band 9 in the middle of the pay band.

Pros: fast, easy, transparent, easy negotiation

Cons: didn't get a real feel for the leaders, job was poorly described/oversold, I was so well qualified so it didn't feel like I was being vetted but just moving through stages to check boxes. No diversity in my hiring panel.

I was hired pre-covid.  I was recommended (without my knowledge) and recruited specifically for the opening.  The process started with a phone screen. The next step was an online interview followed by an onsite interview with 3 business leaders and concluded with a round table.  I received an offer within a week following the onsite.  Overall, it was a positive experience.
