Micromanagement goes all the way to the top. Very low amount of quality inbound leads so small business reps (no BDRs) are expected to source and generate the majority of their pipeline. Initial training was good but ongoing it’s a lot of just “do better, do more”. Rep’s books of accounts are very unequal and any time off means people are taking your leads and canibalizing your book of business. Managers unfortunately are less about “solve for the customer” on their timeline and will tell you to push and push and discount to get anything in even if a better approach would yield a higher ASP and better experience for prospects. Seems like their sales approach is a volume game right now and they do not expect the majority of reps to make it or stay past a year.
