Interviewing for BDR role. How did quota attainment/enablement finish up Q1 2024? Is the BDR org the same vibe as I'm seeing in the SMB AE reviews or is it more realistic to hit quota (and maybe even exceed lol)? This is my 3rd BDR I'm getting into so not trying to join a PIP factory.

This is a PIP factory. The reviews you see from SMB AEs are similar for BDR because the role essentially is the same. Cold calling non stop for no reward.

You'll go into PIP after 8-9 months, if quota is not reached after 7-8 Ramp months-- so is pretty easy to loose your Quota and get into PIP-- 
. defeinitely not the same BDR to SMB AE's vibe-- not even BDR and AEs from the same. Think it twice

The core issues are org-wide and not specific to a role. It's that they have no one in a managerial role who has experience selling into difficult/adverse market conditions like these.

So a lot of the solutions they come up with are just shots in the dark, and you'll be kidding yourself if you think they won't blame you for not "figuring it out" on your own. Roll that into the fake enthusiasm and forced engagement on Slack, it's not for the weak.

HubSpot is a great logo on your resume, but if you don't learn anything and end up out on your ass after 6-8 months, it's a bad ROI.

Disclaimer: these issues are due to macroeconomic conditions are won't last forever, so consider this advice as having an 'expiry date.' HubSpot still has a great product and the bones of a good sales org in there, but you're rolling the dice at this point.

SMB quota is 6500 mrr a month intro corporate/enterprise quota is 7300 mrr a month. Does that make sense to anyone?
