Granicus
Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Joined because the company I worked for was acquired by Granicus. Initially, they kept our sales team and structure. Over time, they broke apart our team and moved us into existing sales teams.
Most people at Granicus are very nice and welcoming. I left because I enjoyed smaller, more nimble sales team. Granicus is large and needs process and structure. It makes sense, but it wasn't the right fit for me personally.
My perception was that Enterprise Teams (Local Enterprise, State, and Federal) had relatively easy to obtain team quotas, because the individual manager had a larger padding between board plan > management plan > team leaders > individual contributors.
On the other end, the SMG team had a lot of challenges. Higher turnover of IC and Directors, few people hitting quota, ramping reps who don't selling anything in 12 months, high pressuring and underwhelming VP.
For sales leadership, they recruit big company (Microsoft or BMC, for example) person into CRO, but then rely heavily on people who have been there a long time to fill VP roles; these people are rewarded for longevity, rather than leadership and ability to develop sales teams. Browse Other Reviews
