Gartner
Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Overall Gartner is a machine, especially in times of rapid change due to the recent implications on enterprise IT with AI. However, the culture is anemic--lots of folks get by working 15-20 hours a week. They make it nearly impossible to terminate low performers so you have a lot of dead weight on teams with rock stars which isn't great. I've never seen a company so overstuffed with management layers--most of whom don't do much of anything. That leads to paralyzed decision-making because everything has to go up 5-7 layers in your sales division and THEN get input from any other department it may affect. The research agenda is extremely nimble and moves on a dime--the sales group is the complete opposite. The best part about Gartner is the quotas are extremely attainable from an AE level(though your book is the main determinant of that)--and the people you work with are wicked smart. As seen on earnings calls, GBS group is killing it, High Tech has struggled lately but has decent leadership. My understanding of end user is its a terrible place to work unless you love micromanaging. Browse Other Reviews
