Somewhat toxic sales leadership in my specific division. Unrealistic expectations for new hire, lack of adequate tech stack, and some leaders use fear and intimidation not just on the team but with customers.

Gartner can be very hit or miss. You can be in a great situation, great leadership, with great accounts and a great territory. You can also find yourself in the complete opposite situation and both the best and worst setups, they will expect the same level of performance from each.

Overall experience is good and Gartner is fair. My experience with culture and leadership has been very positive. The key I think is to sell in a vertical you have experience in and is thriving. For example, if you know finance, don’t come to gartner to sell HR.

Terrible culture but it had good base pay. Most of the sales org is a revolving door though with a few lifers. But most sales reps do not actually know anything about technology they come in from non-tech backgrounds and just push the research.
