What are pros/cons to GTS Large Enterprise?

Pros: 
-The Gartner name brand is strong and well respected  
- A good salary OTE split usually 60/40
- If your book is locked up in multi-year agreements with no open renewals your path to winners circle is much easier

Cons:
- tough selling environment for Gartner 
- many accounts are maxed out with little up sell opportunity 
- Gartner is hyper political. It’s essential to build a good brand and be mindful of the work politics
- little to no leads
- usually takes 1-2 years to fully understand Gartner and sell it effectively

Pros: Everyone knows who you are and what you’re selling, there is little pushback on the value proposition Gartner can provide CIO/CTO’s and teams underneath them, basically everyone in the Fortune 1000 has a license in some shape or form with Gartner.

Cons: no one is hitting quota, little growth left for big accounts, everything is based off how much you can convince your clients to spend more money with little to no MORE value added, under market salary, under market variable commission targets, micromanaging managers, terrible marketing leads, overpriced licenses, insane amounts of politics and bureaucracy, and pretty much everyone that I have ever met at Gartner is a square.

Great name recognition, but now has a pretty bad rep for aggressive sales behavior in GTS especially. It’s all about chasing growth, but the value delivery is so poor, renewing accounts becomes the big focus.  It’s a very churn and burn culture, very misogynistic, and pale, male and state.  Zero customer focus, all about short term shareholder impact. Avoid.
