Is it hard to achieve quota for new business in Elastic?
What’s the quota for an SMB role?
What’s the average deal cycle in the SMB space?
Is it possible to achieve a 6 figures salary selling into this segment?

Yes it is.   SMB was done away with several months back (I left a while ago)  but maybe they reconsidered.  A greenfield role at Elastic should be met with skepticism because the space is saturated with vendors including Elastic's open source (which is in some ways Elastic's biggest competitor).  In other words the chances of those accounts not using another Observability solution is basically zero so it becomes a replacement play and those are more about timing than anything else.  You need to do significant due diligence before taking any sales role at Elastic as they hire and fire on a ridiculous level and you wont be given much runway maybe 6 months.   Elastic assigns accounts with little to no context other than the renewal base.  You need to talk to reps on the ground there to get a sense because chances are your account base with have been worked to death already.

The Commercial/SMB team is a very well run team with a lot of support within Elastic.  It's your best chance of hitting quota if you are a good AE and a hard worker.  I would be much more cautious if you were going into Enterprise, as those territories are a bit of a mess right now...
