Highly recommend joining Datadog if you're eager to work hard and open to coaching. The Commercial West leadership is exceptionally talented, with most leaders being promoted from within, which speaks to the company’s commitment to employee growth and development. There is a solid structure in place that equips sellers with the tools they need to succeed. The new compensation plan introduced in 2024 is especially favorable for commercial sellers, offering excellent earning potential by driving new logos through the door. My experience in the Commercial West was overwhelming positive from start to finish, and I only wish I could have stayed longer. If you’re thinking about joining, just jump in the boat and do it.

DDOG is a company with some of the most extensive training and commitment to development I've ever seen. As far as a training ground for complex enterprise deals cycle, the programs team is top notch. Conversely, only 18% of enterprise reps actually hit quota and leadership leaves a lot to be desired. Been great for career development and training and there is plenty of opportunities to be promoted internally. As a Commercial AE quota is almost impossible to hit though and there are a lot of processes that need to be followed.
