Over the time I was there the metrics and goals changed many times. Each time SDR had less and less control or impact in the ability to reach quota.

Your territory and AE alignment have a large impact on your success. The product is technical and can be difficult to be able to learn at first. Tons of pressure on the top-down for profitability.
