My overall experience was positive at Certinia. I was fortunate to have several great managers, who provided excellent support and mentorship. The PSA product is excellent. The unfortunate downside is that the c-suite had an overly optimistic view of the addressable market and over-hired. It’s since been acquired by another PE firm and I’ve heard they have right sized the sales teams. I left for a better opportunity, with no regrets of my time at Certinia.

My overall experience was average. Compensation and base pay were not competitive with other companies. Little sales support internally from marketing or finance. Executive sales leadership varied greatly, though middle managers were consistent and supportive.

The people at Certinia are amazing and so are most of the managers. This is why I stay. People used to make way more money when comp plans were better, around 2019 or so. Now, leadership and sales operations do not seem to understand that in mid market here, the average sales rep for net new business only closes about 2 net new logos.
