This firm truely believes that cost cutting to the bones is the only strategy and do not believe in paying employees at fair market in high cost living city eg San Francisco.

Commission matrix has been updated and changed to "keep up with the market". Management has been changing goal posts since CDW has had a few poor quarters.

Underpaid. Meat grinder of a job. If you can show you’re good and outlast your fellow employees on an extremely low base salary, you can come out the other side being a steady six figure earner, with top performers clearing a million a year.

This used to be a great culture but they have lost their identity. Great place for young sales persons to get immediate experience and learn about technology. Highly recommend to leave after 2 years and gain more valuable skills.

Overall, I enjoyed working here. The base is very low so if you have a bad month or months it can be challenging. After putting in multiple years of work in your accounts you can make good money but the start is slow.

Great place to start your career. Largest IT VAR in the US. Allows to get a grasp on a wide set of technologies, businesses, and types of customers. Also allows you to learn about different types of sales cycles for hardware, software, and services. Poor base salary, uncapped commissions, good culture. Hybrid work, pushing for more in office

Overall my experience was okay. The security organziation is going through an overhaul band can’t decide how to make decisions and work with a sellers. My role got duplicated with more experienced sales engineers reducing my need.

A good “first job”. If you grow your book and the company gives you good accounts, it can be worth it long term. If not, best to leave after you get some experience.

My overall experience at CDW is great. I genuinely like my manager; he's very helpful and doesn't micro-manage. The salary is on the low end, but the bonuses are great every month. I've been with CDW for over 4.5 years

Pathetic base (35k) that is lowered to 30k, then 25k once you are promoted" to Account Manager. Comp structure that means you earn less after promotion if you do not meet a rising goal metric. It was a positive experience. A rep doesn't want for anything in terms of guidance but you do need to stay on your toes, follow up/thru with clients and stay adaptable. They're still integrating Salesforce among other infrastructure changes.

The org has evolved over the years from a run of the mill outdated processes to somewhat keeping up with the times. Initial Sales trainings do not prepare you for the real world, but you rather learn as you go.
