PMF score ...

Question

PMF score is below average - but it seems Quota attainment is still....eh, OK.  Is it a good product? or just little competition in the niche market?

Product in some verticals is very strong - K-12 and NXT products especially—highly competitive market. Clients are being driven out by astronomical renewal pricing and slow product development. Customer service has plummeted over the last four years to an abysmal level. Implementation services are also exceptionally poor, leading to many escalations that fall on reps to manage.

BB is known as the "cadillac" of the nonprofit software. They also know it comes with a Cadillac price. Once they are a customer, there is quite a few challenges. the customer feels trapped, the support can be lacking from their rep or cs. and reps territories always change. they get very sick of meeting the new rep, doing the intros, visits, and starting from scratch regularly. quota attainment is great! however, they do pay lower than the industry average. But, you can have large commission payouts.

Our PMF is great - surprised to see that other salespeople would not rate us highly in that. There's plenty of competition

The NXT Solution is still being used in the 90s database view and the cloud-based NXT view.  Apparently clients are leaving so fast, that the company is staying afloat due to strategic renewals or large renewal increases that lock customers in for 3 years without confirming with them before it happens. The company carries excessive debt compared to their annual revenue.

PMF for certain products is stellar - others are big fish in small ponds (too expensive for the companies they’re marketing towards). Marketing campaigns and prospect research is pretty awful so that’s mostly to blame.

Companies either love the product or they hate it tbh.
