Is leadership at Blackbaud doing anything to address the below market base comp within the sales org?

Not that I know of. They are known for boomerangs-employees leaving for better comp, then coming back and making them match it.

They certainly didn’t when I was there and from what I understand from current employees they still have not. It was appalling what the base and OTE was for salespeople at Blackbaud. They have never paid competitively for sales positions which could explain their very high attrition rate for sales.

no they have not. non competitive.

No they haven't and likely won't anytime soon for a couple of reasons.

1) They believe we are over-paid, and refuse to negotiate. 
2) This year to start the sales year, they raised quota and cut our commission % by a lot. 
3)They have been hiring more from within, which isn't a bad thing but they continue to under pay them.

No. Underpaid and overworked. They have changed the commission structure to take even more money out of the BDR's pockets.

Not that I’m aware of. I’m not in sales anymore but the base used to be $30,800 when I started as a BDR there. I’ve heard it’s been bumped up to $60k but I have no way of verifying.

Leadership intentionally keeps base down  and has been cutting comp rates while increasing quota in 2023.   This is openly discussed.  PE takeover is ominous.

Not that I know of. Current SDR and even though they have expanded our responsibilities IE helping AEs move prospects to the demo phase, and changed the comp plan they have not increased the base.
